Like so many people my idea of success is pretty much the same as everyone else. The more money coming in the door, than money going out equals SUCCESS! However, in the internet world it is also important to measure where your success is coming from. When you measure how successful you are doing in an area this is called Metrics. We use metrics to measure how successful a blog is, a website or even our social media presence. There are many ways to measure your success online.  So many people recommend different tools to help measure how well you are doing and how your online presence is. The following is a list of the metrics that I personally like the most:

Another great tool to use is books. A great book I like that is easy for people to understand and follow is called “Social Media Metrics: How to Measure and Optimize Your Marketing Investment.” Not only does this book give a good and easy layout for how to measure your success but they describe what to do and the steps to take to do so.  So try not to be like everyone else and simply measure your success with how much bacon you bring home, take it a step further and get some real numbers and stats on how well your online presence really is.
